At that time, Wilbur (Wib) Mock pursued the American dream of opening his own businesses after he learned the fine art of cabinetry and furniture making from talented local Amish woodworking craftsmen.
In 1954, Wilbur Mock started Mock Woodworking.
The business grew, attracting talented craftsmen who created and installed high-quality, stylish kitchens and bathrooms for residences of Muskingum and other counties surrounding his Zanesville workshop.
Doug Mock grew up in the workshop, sweeping floors and learning every aspect of the business from his Dad and the other talented woodworkers.
