At Cafe Design we are more than a design firm, we are food and beverage professionals that are involved daily in the development of specialty coffee retail & espresso bars, commercial kitchens, juice bars, and yogurt establishments throughout the United States. Cafe Design works remotely on full-service projects and on-site with clients from Orlando Florida to Scottsdale Arizona, Brooklyn New York to Hollywood California and all places in between.

We often work as the Kitchen Designer or Food Service Consultant with other Architects and Designers. It is your choice based on scope and budget, we come to you or we can work remotely to assure the best design and operational solution for your project. With design studio principals on both coasts and the southwest, we have you covered for personal service and on-site collaboration.

Providing technical details and drawings for your plumber, electrician and contractor to work with is a must have for any food service project: showing exact locations, providing specifications of plumbing fixtures and connections for espresso machines, sinks and ice makers is essential.

In 1982 at Milton I. Swimmer Planning and Design, Inc. Ed Viser established himself as a serious environmental designer noted for his unique ability to test new conceptual interior design and planning techniques.
In the mid '90s, Ed's career had moved to San Francisco where he was at the ground floor of the booming "dot com" construction era joining firms such as Barrett/Quezada Architecture, internationally known Anshen + Allen and Group 4 Architecture Research & Planning in South San Francisco, California.

In the late 70's at C's Donut House & Bakery in Sepulveda, Ca.
I started mopping floors for Fred Coleman.
He was a pioneer in the restaurant consulting business training new baker entrepreneurs the art of the larger than average donut which was Fred's claim to fame.
Weeks of mopped floors and cellophane wrapped donuts for catering trucks, I was trained as the swing shift donut and pastry chef to support the wholesale business.
By 1981, I was well on my way to retiring my rolling pin and apron for an architectural scale.
