We are Amanda and Bryan, founders of 2A Architects, with over a decade of combined experience in architectural design. Our journey began in Michigan, where we both earned Bachelor degrees in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. Amanda furthered her education with a master's degree from the University of Washington, while Bryan completed his master's at Lawrence Technological University. During our academic years, we gained hands-on experience working in architecture firms, laying the foundation for our professional careers. Amanda specialized in commercial projects at a large firm in Kirkland, WA, while Bryan focused on high-end residential and multi-family dwellings at a smaller firm in the same area. Our shared commitment to craftsmanship and design excellence drove us to relocate to Maine in 2009, where we established 2A Architects.
We bring a deep understanding of both residential and commercial needs, having worked on diverse projects across the Pacific Northwest and Midcoast Maine. Our work is informed by a passion for transforming spaces into functional, beautiful environments that reflect our clients' visions. We pride ourselves on our meticulous approach to renovation and new construction, ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations. Beyond our professional work, we actively restore our own 1880 Victorian Farmhouse, demonstrating our hands-on dedication to architectural preservation. This personal project reinforces our ability to balance historical integrity with modern functionality.
